Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians, Students, and Community Members,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! It continues to be an honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Leona Jackson School. I hope you have enjoyed your summer break spending time with your loved ones and creating memories to last a lifetime.

I am looking forward to our continued partnership to ensure our children receive a quality education that prepares them to be life-long learners, problem solvers, and innovative thinkers. In addition to academics, one of our primary goals is to ensure students feel safe and connected to our school. We ask that you encourage your child to get involved and participate in the many activities we will have available this year. Knowing that parent involvement is critical in the educational process, we hope that you will join us throughout the year and take an active role in your child’s education.  There will be many opportunities for you to get involved, such as PTSA, School Site Council (SSC), English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC), parent/teacher meetings, monthly parent workshops, and school-wide celebrations. Our goal is to work closely with all stakeholders in order to best meet the needs of each and every child.
