Free Testing for all our students

To provide free testing for all our students and continue to keep our schools healthy and safe for our Paramount Unified community, we are scheduling our 2nd district-wide distribution on Friday, April 15th – before Spring Break.

Testing is completely voluntary.
All students will receive two (2) At-Home Test Kits on the day listed above during the school day. We hope you get the test kits when your child is picked up or arrives home from school. Each At-Home Test Kit (small orange/white box) contains two tests. If you wish to take part in testing, easy to follow directions are in the box to complete this at-home test accurately.

Suggested Testing Timeline

If you choose to test, we recommend that your child test on Saturday or Sunday morning prior to coming to campus on Monday, April 25th.

  • If your child’s COVID Test Card shows a negative COVID reading, your child is clear to come to school on Monday.
  • If your child’s COVID Test Card shows a positive COVID reading, please contact your child’s medical provider for next steps if your child is exhibiting COVID-like symptoms and report your child’s absence to their school.
    • The second test should be used on Day 5 to retest. For example, if your child tested positive on Sun., 4/24, Day 5 would be Fri., 4/29. If on Day 5, your child’s second COVID Test Card reads negative, please document this (take a photo) so they can be cleared to return to school. If you decide not to have your child take this second test, your child must wait 10 days from the first test result before they can return to school.

If your child is absent on distribution day, the test kits will be provided to your child when they return to school.

If your child is enrolled as an Independent Study student, you can pick up your test kits at your child’s school of instruction.
